Oliver Row Crop 77 1948-1954 (14"x17")

In 1948, Oliver replaced the popular Row Crop 70 with the sleek new Model 77. It featured a powerful, six-cylinder engine with higher compression ratio, higher engine speed at 1600 rpm, and increased plow rating to three 14" bottoms. Other Oliver features included six forward speeds and Direct Drive Power Takeoff, controlled by a separate clutch, allowing power takeoff machines to be operated even when the tractor was not moving. Hydra-Lectric, a feature added in 1949, was an electric hydraulic lift system which provided easy fingertip control of attached implements. The Row Crop 77 offered the latest in modern tractor technology and remained in production until 1954 when it was upgraded to the Super 77.
