Oliver 70 Unstyled 1935-1937 (14"x17")

Oliver introduced the Row-Crop Model 70 in 1935. The styling was influenced by the automotive industry and immediately set a new standard in tractor design. The 70 featured the smooth power of a six-cylinder engine matched to a four-speed transmission. Other standard features included: high-pressure engine oil system, water pump, magneto ignition, muffler, differential (steering) brakes, and adjustable rear-wheel spacing. The rear skeleton wheels which Oliver called "Power on Tiptoe" were also standard and many farmers dubbed this model as the "Tiptoe Oliver". The 70 was available in row-crop, standard-tread, orchard and high-crop models. All models could be ordered in the KD version for kerosene or the HC (high compression) version for use with 70 octane gasoline. The 70 could also be equipped with electric starter and lights making it one of the most modern tractors of it's time.
