The Allis-Chalmers Model WC was introduced in 1934. This all-purpose tractor was powerful enough to pull two 14-inch plow bottoms and light enough to go anywhere that horses could be worked. Powered by a four cylinder engine, the WC featured a four speed transmission which offered speeds from 2 1/2 to 10 miles per hour. A traction differential directed the power to the wheel with the best traction. Reversible rear wheels offered wide tread for planting and cultivating, or narrow tread for plowing and other operations. The WC was equipped with a power shaft for operating power take-off machinery and optional power lift for raising and lowering accessory equipment. Allis-Chalmers offered a full line of equipment designed to make farm work easier with the WC. This tractor offered speed, power, and versatility never before found in a tractor of this size.
