The Farmall Model C was introduced in 1948. It replaced the model B but retained the 113 cubic inch four-cylinder engine and four-speed transmission. Unlike the B Series, the C featured an operators platform and frame design similar to the H and M models. The C also featured sliding hubs which provided true adjustable rear wheel tread. Harvester's Touch Control hydraulic system was added for raising and lowering implements at the touch of a lever. The Super C replaced the C in 1951. The big advantage offered by the Super C was an increase in engine power from 113 cubic inches to 122.7 cubic inches giving the Super C a 15 percent increase in horse power. This tractor was rated to pull two 14 inch plow bottoms. It was available with dual tricycle or adjustable wide-front and was ideal for working smaller farms.
