The Model 620 was introduced in 1956 as part of the new John Deere 20 Series. The 620 incorporated many new design and engineering advancements, achieving a new standard of performance. The new improved cylinder heads and pistons increased horsepower of the two-cylinder engine and improved fuel economy. The Custom Powr-Trol enabled the operator to precisely set working depth. The exclusive Load & Depth Control kept implements at a uniform depth and automatically transferred weight to the tractor drive wheel with best traction The 620 offered more operator comfort with the new Float-Ride seating system and foam-rubber cushion seat. A roomy operator’s platform, easy-to-reach controls and easy-to-read instrument panel made this tractor even more comfortable to operate. The 620 was also one of the first tractors to sport the famous John Deere two-tone, green and yellow paint job.
