John Deere Model 3020 1964-1972 (14"x17")

The model 3020 was introduced in the fall of 1963. Although it had the same body styling as the 3010, it offered a more powerful four-cylinder engine and new Power Shift transmission. Power Shift allowed the operator to shift on the go, without clutching, between any of eight forward and four reverse speeds. This combination offered a pinpoint selection of both power and speed never before perfected in the farming industry. In 1964, the new hydraulic Power Differential Lock directed power equally to both drive wheels for improved traction when needed. This tractor featured power steering, hydraulic power brakes, and a hydraulic system which delivered instant power to multiple indepentent hydraulic circuits. The 3020 soon became the new standard by which all tractors were compared.
