John Deere Model 3010 1960-1963 (14"x17")

In the late 1950s, family farms were rapidly expanding. Farmers needed more powerful tractors, and John Deere responded with an all new line in 1960. This "new generation" of John Deere tractors, was the first to feature an engine with more than two-cylinders. They also incorporated engineering concepts that would help to revolutionize farming. The Model 3010 featured new body styling with a strong four-cylinder engine rated at 54.36 drawbar and 59.44 PTO hp. One of the most noted innovations on the 3010 was the new hydraulic system which delivered instant power to multiple independent hydraulic circuits. In addition to power steering, the 3010 also offered hydraulic power brakes, an industry first. The posture seat and controls were scientifically designed, setting a new standard for operator comfort and convenience.
