John Deere Model B Late-styled  1947-1952 (14"x17")

The John Deere Model B was introduced in 1935. It soon proved to be the ideal tractor for the small American farm. The B could pull a two-bottom plow and provided power through the drawbar, belt, power takeoff, and hydraulic power lift. This durable tractor was easy to handle and the adjustable rear wheel tread and individually controlled rear wheel brakes were great for row crop farming. In 1938, the Model B was restyled with a new body design. It received additional restyling in 1947, with a new pressed-steel frame and adjustable cushioned seat. Electric starting and lights was now standard and the horse power of the reliable two-cylinder engine was also increased. This tractor was one of the most popular of it's time. Over 292,000 were produced during a 17 year production run which ended in 1952.
