John Deere Model B Unstyled  1935-1938 (14"x17")

The John Deere Model B General Purpose was introduced in early 1935. This tractor soon proved to be the ideal power unit for the small American farm. It was adaptable to all types of farm work including planting, plowing, and cultivating of row crops. The Model B was about two-thirds the size of the Model A but had all the General Purpose features: adjustable rear tread, 4 forward speeds, compact design, economy, and easy handling. The B also offered a power shaft for operating power takeoff machines and could be equipped with hydraulic power lift. For its size, the Model B was big in power and could handle the load ordinarily pulled by four horses. In 1938, the popular Model B was restyled and remained in the line until 1952.
