Big Bud 16-V 747 14"x17"

The Big Bud 747 is reported to be the largest farm tractor made in the 20th Century. This tractor was built in 1977, for a cost of $300,000. It was custom ordered by the Rossi Brothers, cotton farmers in Bakersfield, California, and built by Northern Manufacturing Co. in Havre, Montana. The Big Bud featured a 16-cylinder Detroit Diesel engine which originally produced 760 hp. Today this tractor is producing 900 hp. @ 1190 RPM. Big Bud measures 14' high, 20' wide, and 27' long with a 16' wheelbase. The tires are a massive 8' in diameter. The weight on this giant is a whopping 95,000 lbs. and when you add 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel and 150 gallons of hydraulic oil it is well over 100,000 lbs.
